Strengthening plan for the development councils
We seek to strengthen the Development Councils of the Municipalities of the Metropolitan Area of Asunción (AMA) through high-level technical and methodological support.
The Development Institute carries out the PLAN FOR STRENGTHENING THE DEVELOPMENT COUNCILS
It will be designed within the framework of the Project of the Municipal Development Councils of the Municipalities of the Metropolitan Area – AMA in the first 6 months.
It seeks to link the design of the AMA information and knowledge platform with the platform for the exchange of experiences and knowledge of the Municipal Development Councils of the AMA Municipalities.
The project is aimed at the 11 municipalities of the Metropolitan Area – AMA
Objective
This project will lay the foundations for sustainable growth and the social well-being of the entire population.

This Project is an initiative of: the Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development, the Ministry of Urbanism, Housing and Habitat, the Technical Secretariat for Economic and Social Development Planning – STP, the Development Institute and the Municipalities of the Metropolitan Area of Asunción.
Expected results
- The level of progress of the Municipal Development Councils of the other Municipalities of the AMA and the steps to be followed in the strengthening and consolidation process.
- Implementation of Training Courses – Action for Members of Development Councils
- Proposal to link the Project processes to the strengthening of the Municipal Development Councils of the AMA and its implementation at the time of closing of this consultancy.
- Systematization of lessons learned and good practices in the different processes developed in the strengthening of the Municipal Development Councils of the Municipalities of the AMA, taking into account the comprehensive gender approach.
