The Master in Finance contributes to

The achievement of better levels of economic and social development with respect to the axis of inclusive economic growth of the National Development Plan, particularly in the sub-strategies of employment and social security (formal jobs) and in competitiveness and innovation.

The Master in Finance offers courses focused on financial planning and management, understanding and proper use of the stock market, measurement and management of financial, credit and operational risk, asset valuation, investment projects and mergers and acquisitions. All courses are taught by first level teachers.

Our objectives

  • Strengthen capacities for the formulation of public policies, research, consulting and university teaching.
  • Contribute to the training of leaders of research projects in financial management, microeconomics, macroeconomic analysis, corporate financial analysis, econometrics, banking management, among others.

To obtain the Master’s degree in Finance, it is required:

  • Study and pass 710 hours (11 courses + thesis seminar)

  • Pass the defense of a master’s thesis.

Graduated profile

The graduate will have the profile of public policy maker, researcher, consultant, high-level university professor, with the ability to lead research projects in the different areas of financial management (finance), including applied microeconomics, macroeconomic analysis, corporate financial analysis, econometric financial estimation, simulation of financial models, project financing, asset valuation, banking and financial management, among others.

You will be able to work in institutions dedicated to research, teaching, consulting and key positions within the public sector and non-governmental organizations, both local and international.
